For this role, you must be an outstanding Lead Software Engineer, who has experience consulting with enterprise level External Clients at C-Level or Senior Management level. Commercial experience with AI or GenAI is a bonus, however personal work & a passionate provable interested in AI & GenAI will be acceptable. You must be living in Ireland.

We’re working with a fast-growing technology company using the very latest in Generative AI to create enterprise-grade B2B solutions that solve complex real-world problems. This is a Technical Lead–level position for a highly skilled engineer — ideal for someone already operating as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Staff Engineer, or very senior software engineer who enjoys shaping solutions, guiding clients, and still staying close to the code.


The Role

  • Partner with client stakeholders to uncover challenges and define technical solutions.

  • Run discovery sessions, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into technical direction.

  • Rapidly prototype AI-powered solutions and design systems that scale into production.

  • Make key architectural decisions and steer delivery from initial concept to live deployment.

  • Mentor engineers, set high standards through code reviews, and share best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, impactful solutions.

  • Explore and apply the latest AI tools and techniques to bring innovation into real projects.


Requirements

Must-Have Skills

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate three key experience markers:

  1. Deep Software Engineering Expertise – Significant, hands-on experience building and scaling robust software systems, ideally full-stack or system-level.

  2. Proven External Client-Facing Experience – Comfortable working with external customers, preferably at enterprise level, engaging senior leadership and even C-Level stakeholders.

  3. Generative AI Experience or Passion – Either practical experience working on AI/GenAI projects or a clear personal interest and enthusiasm for applying Generative AI to real business challenges.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of hands-on senior software engineering experience.

  • Strong architectural thinking and ability to make sound technical trade-offs.

  • Experience leading workshops or working directly with customers.

  • Excellent communication skills — able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Mentorship or leadership experience guiding engineering teams.

  • Curiosity and hands-on experience with modern AI tools.
