Java Software Developer Agile Environment

Leading online payments company require experienced Java Software Developers with Agile methodologies experience. Our clients teams consist of highly motivated and passionate developers, with a keen analytical mind and a focus on code quality and product development in the online payments space. Development teams follow Agile methodologies, adapt quickly to change and coordinate with colleagues distributed across the globe.

As a knowledge leader, the backend team focuses on the craftsmanship of the software, understanding all the technical areas of the product as well as demonstrating domain knowledge of payment gateways, e-Money and payment system integration.

As the Java Developer, your responsibilities are:

  • Understanding system requirements as provided in the requirement documents (Business Requirement Document/Functional Specification/Technical Design Document).

  • Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.

  • Ensuring designs are in compliance with specifications and regulations.

  • Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

  • Liaising and attend meetings with project owner(s) or person(s) in charge to perform duties or solving issues.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Java/J2EE web development including Spring, Struts, EJBs, Servlets, JSPs, and web services

  • Experience in Java Frameworks and Databases

  • Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate, JMS, Ant, Maven and SQL

  • Banking domain experience/understanding, preferably Payment Systems, is a big plus

  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix, JBOSS, Oracle

  • Good command of the English language

  • Ability to work independently as not supervised around the clock

  • Adaptable, meticulous, innovative, independent and self-motivated, with good problem solving skills
